Adding A Time Zone Column In Your CSV File.

: Learn how to format country and timezone in a CSV for bulk prospect uploads in SmartReach.io to ensure accurate cold email campaign scheduling.

What is this feature, and how does it help?

Properly formatting the country and timezone in your CSV file ensures SmartReach.io accurately schedules cold email campaigns based on your prospects’ locations. This improves deliverability and engagement by sending emails at the right time.

How it works

Follow these steps to format the "country" and "timezone" fields in your CSV file and upload prospects in SmartReach.io.

Step-by-step process to format and upload

  1. Prepare your CSV file: Create a CSV file with columns for prospect details, including "country" and "timezone."
  2. Format the country field: Use the country name as listed in the ISO 3166 country codes. For example, use "United States" (not "USA" or "US").
  3. Format the timezone field: Use the Olson timezone format from the TZ database name column. For example, use "America/New_York" for Eastern Time in the United States.
  4. Navigate to Prospects: In SmartReach.io, click Prospects in the left sidebar.
  5. Start the upload: Click Upload Prospects and select Bulk Upload via CSV.
  6. Map the fields: Match the CSV columns to SmartReach.io fields. Ensure "country" and "timezone" are mapped correctly.
  7. Review and confirm: Check the preview to verify the country and timezone data. Click Confirm to complete the upload.
  8. Verify the upload: Go to the Prospects tab to confirm your prospects are listed with the correct country and timezone.
