ESP Matching
Email Provider Matching
SmartReach.io now offers an ESP matching feature, which helps users to achieve better email deliverability if they are using a combination of inboxes.
What is ESP matching?
ESP matching is a feature that analyzes your email recipients and matches them with the appropriate connected inbox based on their email service provider. This helps improve email deliverability by ensuring that emails are sent from the same type of provider.
For example, if you're using Google Workspace and Microsoft accounts as your senders, the ESP matching feature will route emails to Google Workspace recipients through your Google inbox and Microsoft recipients through your Microsoft inbox.
This improves deliverability rates, as emails sent from the same provider tend to have better deliverability.
Can ESP matching improve my campaign performance?
Yes, ESP matching can improve your campaign performance by increasing deliverability and reducing the chances of emails being marked as spam. When the sender and recipient use the same email provider, there's a higher likelihood of the emails reaching the recipient’s inbox.
Common FAQs related to ESP:
1. How do I set up ESP matching in SmartReach.io?
To set up ESP matching, connect multiple inboxes from different providers in your SmartReach.io account. Once connected, ESP matching will automatically function when you launch a campaign.
The ESP matching feature is automatically activated if you are subscribed to the "Expert plan" and the "Agency Plan" in SmartReach. There is no need for manual activation; simply ensure your plan meets the required level.
2. How does ESP matching work if I don’t have a Google or Microsoft account?
ESP matching is currently only applicable to Google Workspace and Outlook accounts. These two providers cover over 80% of the market share, making them the primary focus for this feature. If you do not have a Google or Microsoft account connected, ESP matching will not apply to your campaigns at this time.
3. Can ESP matching improve my campaign performance?
Yes, by ensuring better deliverability, as emails have a better reputation when the sender and recipient are using the same provider.
4. What happens if I have more Microsoft Outlook recipients than available limits as per Outlook sender inboxes?
If you have more Outlook recipients than available Outlook sender inboxes, any additional emails will be sent through your other connected inboxes. This allows your campaign to continue smoothly.
5. Do I need to manually match ESPs for each contact?
No, the ESP matching feature automatically identifies and matches the recipient's email service provider with the appropriate connected inbox, streamlining the process and saving time.
6. Can I use ESP matching if I only have one type of inbox connected?
ESP matching is most beneficial when using a combination of different inboxes (e.g., both Google Workspace and Microsoft accounts). If you only have one type of inbox connected, the feature will not apply, as there are no alternate inboxes to match with.
