Duplicate Prospect Detection
While uploading a CSV within a campaign.
While uploading your prospects in a particular campaign you can control how to handle duplicates. In the third step of the csv upload process, you can choose the appropriate setting to handle duplicates.
Select option1 : "already assigned to any other campaign" to ignore prospects that are already assigned to some other campaign.
Select option 2 : "active in any other campaign" to ignore prospects that are already active to some other campaign. Prospects in a campaign that are due to receive emails are considered active. If the campaign is completed for a prospect they are no longer active.
Select option 3 : "Do not ignore and assign prospects" to add prospects already assigned to some other campaign to this campaign as well.
Also, you can simply check the Update fields for duplicate prospects, following this you will be able to update your existing prospect data. i.e. Appending the blank fields within your existing prospects in SmartReach.io campaign.
If you select "Update fields for duplicate prospects", the new column information in this upload will overwrite the old information of the already existing prospects.
Case 1: A particular column of a prospect has an existing value and the new value in the new upload is empty.
Old data will be retained.
Case 2: A particular column of a prospect has an existing value or is empty and the new value in the new upload is non-empty.
New data will be considered
How does SmartReach handle duplicate prospects?
When you have similar contacts that might be duplicates, you can merge them to remove all duplicates.
Navigate to the Duplicate Prospects Logs section under Team Settings to manage and merge them.
In this section, you can view prospects that are potential duplicates. You can choose to keep the records separate or merge them into one primary record. Simply select the prospect you want to keep as the primary record, preview your change and merge the duplicates.
